· Must have a thorough knowledge of the Production and Manufacturing Mechanism of the Apparel Industry. · Must have applied the principles of “Lean Management” in all roles played till date · Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. · Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems. · Must be a friendly person with good “People Skills” and “Man Management” · Must be an expert at sewing in “knits” sector. |
Educational Qualification: |
· Qualification: B.E. / MBA · Specialization: SCM |
Work Experience: |
· No. of years: 15 - 20 relevant years in Production of the Apparel Industry. |
Functional Skills: |
· Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities. · Must establish high degree of “safety” rules and monitor them while on the production floor · Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands. · Must have set up factories as part of the KRA · Must be excellent at identifying wastages · Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments. · Must be extremely agile and innovative to identify production issues early in the implementation phase · Must work well with cross functional teams like merchandising , finance, materials management, human resources, etc · Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
